Coherent Technology Limited was established in 1987 to specialise in the provision of services, support and software for distributed computing systems. We draw on the expertise of our consultants who have many years of experience in this field. The systems developed by us use Open Source solutions with some components provided by proprietary platforms such as Solaris and Microsoft Windows 2000.

Current development is focused on producing appliance style systems which can be delivered as managed services into client environments. We are continually enhancing our product set which includes:

  1. A Linux based firewall using the seawall environment
  2. A Linux based network monitoring station utilizing the Netsaint package, UCD-SNMP, and MRTG amongst others
  3. A Linux base mail router based on Sendmail technology
  4. A Linux based post-office system based on the Cyrus IMAP server

Recent platform development supported large scale
E-commerce applications. One particular system was designed to support the  equivalent of 1,000,000 hits per minute, 60 times the size of one of  the largest web sites in the world as of Spring 2000.
